The number of members at the end of the year was a total of 311 (297st 2024)
After the annual meeting, the board has held 7 minutes of board meetings and a few short reconciliation meetings that were not recorded.
Chairman participated in SÄK's chairman's conference and annual general meeting in Gävle 25-26/4 and also attended the chairman's conference that was held during the moose dog championship in Järvsö 26-27/9.
The club has been represented at 2 fairs during the year. Elmia Game Fair 29-31/5 and Västgård Game Fair 25-27/7. Good with people who have visited our stand during the fairs, even though Västgård was characterized by slightly worse weather today 2 & 3 so visitors decreased overall for the entire fair.
Interest in Karelian bear dogs is increasing as there are many questions and requests for puppies. Unfortunately, the number of dog registrations has decreased compared to the previous year (68 st & – 48%) but it varies from year to year as we are a small breed and depending on when the puppies are born, it can be different between years.
The club has carried out 3 member activities. Bear test in Junsele 5-6/6, Moose park Ockelbo 16-18/5 and our annual member meeting in Rättvik 9/8 during the exhibition that DÄK carried out the same weekend. We drew lots for the starting field for the Klubbkampen during the members' meeting and recognized the winners from the trial season 2024.
Klubbkampen 2025 was carried out 27-28/9 in collaboration with JHÄK where we had a record number of registered dogs and where we also increased the number of starting dogs to 10. 9 out of 10 dogs had contact with moose. The competition was broadcast live via Facebook and the dogs could be followed live via Tracker.
The club also participated 3 dogs in the new planned annual Nordic Championship that starts on Finland's Independence Day 6/12. The Swedish national team won ahead of Finland and Norway.
We have started an update of our breeding recommendations which is a simplification of the RAS document. We have also applied for health program-1 with SKK but there is still work to be done, alternatively we withdraw our application as we don't really know if it will add that much compared to today.
