Dogs with hip joint status A, B or C may be used in breeding, with the recommendation that the average HD index of the parent animal at
the mating occasion (d.v.s. the preliminary litter index of the offspring) must be greater than 100 at the time of mating.
Dogs with HD grade D or E may not be used in breeding, regardless of HD index. If a breeder uses a dog with hip joint status D or E of this breed, the offspring will be banned from breeding. The locks cannot be lifted. Also applies to imported dogs after parent animals with Swedish examination results
grade D or E. For foreign breeding animals, it still applies that the breeding animal must have HD grade A or B.
